Visit Western Avenue
Escape the rush of downtown & embrace our charming ‘Village in the City’ when you visit us on Western Avenue. You’ll feel a world away, even though we’re a quick drive or train ride from the Loop. Discover quaint shops, friendly pubs & restaurants, & plenty of reasons to stay a while.
Then & Now
Before malls, big box stores, fast food, and Amazon, there was Western Avenue in Chicago. It’s been the main drag on the South Side for more than 150 years. What makes this strip such a special & enduring place?
We’re in a beautiful neighborhood infused with Midwestern charm & one-of-a-kind businesses. Like the Original Rainbow Cone at 92nd & Western, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026. Or Beverly Records, offering vinyl at 116th & Western since 1967. These legacy shops dovetail with newer restaurants, art galleries, breweries, fitness studios, bookstores, & specialty shops. Slow your roll, & you’ll find gems to visit on every block.
